A little bit about you this month...
• You have eight teeth!
• When we ask you, "How big is Emi?" You throw your hands up in the air and tilt your head back with a huge smile. "Thiiiiissssss big!"
• You absolutely love, love, love the dogs. All dogs, actually. Cork, Tio and Auntie's B's dog, is hilarious. He just looks at you and you guffaw with a low, throaty chuckle.
• You have figured out that Izzy can catch food in the air, and now like to throw food off your tray at mealtimes - especially if you don't like it.
• You tell the dogs, "Down!" and point down at them.
• You point! You love to point at things and say "'dis! 'dat! What's this? What's that?"
• Pointing out animals in books is by far your favorite pastime. (Wuzdis? Wuzdat?) Pandas are your favorite, but you love to find the mouse in When You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
• Your first multiple unassisted steps were toward a book to point out that mouse!
• You can take a handful of unassisted steps.
• If you are distracted and your hands are full, you will stand up without holding on to anything.
• You cruise with one hand along everything, and will walk holding onto one of our fingers.
• Your favorite books are The Belly Button Book by Sandra Boynton and Tails by Matthew Van Fleet.
• You love to play and look at your books.
• You love to unroll the toilet paper roll.
• You can climb the stairs!
• You are still a pretty good eater; you devour all green vegetables, love any kind of meat, still love curry, but you really hate tomatoes. You spit them out and then throw them to the dogs!
• You absolutely LOVE water. You like to chug it and then say, "Ah!!!" with a big smile.
• You have quite the temper. I think I've mentioned it before, but I tell people you are the happiest baby in the world... until you're not. And you let us know it! You throw things you don't want, scream if we take something away that you do want, and overall are quite good at communicating your likes and dislikes. Ha!
• Your favorite thing to do right now is ride in the green Little Tikes car - the cozy coupe. You love when your sister pushes you, and you love to open and shut the door.
• You are still sleeping really well. You go down for anyone, and mostly stay down. I sometimes have to chat with you through the monitor, and randomly you end up nursing in the middle of the night, but you always sleep like a log after you do, so I can't complain.
• You get the best bedhead ever!
• You have just enough hair to do a tiny whale spout pony tail on her head, and I love it.
• You are still a dancing machine, and even sign "music" now. You move anytime you hear a beat! You love to shake your egg shaker.
